Port Grimaud
A Little Venice on the Côte d’Azur
Located in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, Port Grimaud is often called the “Venice of Provence” thanks to its beautiful canals and colorful waterside houses. Designed in the 1960s by architect François Spoerry, this unique village combines Provençal charm with the feel of a seaside resort. Its 12 islands are connected by quaint bridges and quiet walkways, where boats replace cars and peace fills the air. You’ll find sunny cafés, boutiques, and markets lining the canals, perfect for a slow-paced afternoon. With its mix of architecture, water, and warm ambiance, Port Grimaud is one of the most picturesque stops along the Riviera.
My Personal Experience
Port Grimaud is a wonderful place to go for a walk, with beautiful houses and tranquil canals creating a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. Each visit feels like discovering a hidden gem. It’s a must-see destination, and every time I go, I find something new to admire.
